Ever been on the course and stepped off your yardage based on the markers on the course. It is one of the best investments I have ever made. Talk about building your confidence. Many times you are not sure you can trust the markers. With this laser, you shoot it and you have 100% trust in it.
Comes with a nice case with a magnetic latch so removing and putting the unit away between shots is quick and easy. It gives you the actual yardage and the yardage you should play the shot to according to the degree of the slope.all on the same screen.
PROS: Easy to operate. 7x power and pinseeker technology make it so easy to lock-on to you target.
The Bushnell 1500 is the last rangefinder you'll ever need. Slope mode is nice too.
Operates on a common 9-volt battery. It is exactly as advertised.
You should know that the slope edition is not legal in tournaments. CONS: None.
It is so easy to use. Having just played a golf course with unbelievable hills, I was shocked to see the difference in uphill and downhill yardage. I know the slope is illegal for tournament play, but the Pinseeker also has the the basic yardage set up.
SkyCaddy just gives you distance to front, middle, back of green. This is a great range finder. This gives you exact distance to the pin or anything else you you focus on. I've had a SkyCaddy and this has it beat hands down. Much better information with no annual fees or the hassle of downloading courses. The slope reading gives you a "play as" adjustment which is helpful when you eyes can't tell. Best tool I've found for use on the course.
I may never get to use it. Unfortunately I have no first hand knowledge. My husband loves it and said it was the best golf gift ever. Maybe it was too good of a present. Humph.
